The Four Aims of Life

The Four Aims of Life

Saturday, April 2nd, 16th, 30th & May 14th
1:00 – 3:00 PM PST

Yoga NW Studio

What are the Four Aims of Life?

Stemming from the Vedic era of yogic teachings, there are four pursuits in life that are meant to align us with our soul’s purpose and reveal our innate fullness. These pursuits are known as dharma (our higher purpose), artha (prosperity), kama (enjoyment), and moksha (liberation). Utilizing these teachings in our lives provides us with guardrails to maintain inner and outer balance, awareness, integrity and lasting joy.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide a deeper understanding and application of the teachings of yoga. When we implement yoga as a way to live aligned with our soul’s purpose we are living to support one  another and our planet.

We will use the text, The Jewel of Abundance, by Ellen Grace O’Brian as the foundation of our learning together. Each meeting will provide both discussion of the theory that we are learning and a short yoga practice.

In between meetings, you will receive journaling prompts which will accompany the reading and guidance to maintain a daily yoga and meditation practice.

Cost for this 4-part series is $200

Unlimited monthly Yoga NW members will receive a 10% discount. The first 4 people to sign up for the series will receive the book The Jewel of Abundance that accompanies the course. We highly recommend that you sign up for the entire series to receive the most abundant benefits of this experience, but if you can only attend one, email us info@yoganwpdx.com to set that up and reserve your spot, cost $60.

We will use the text as the foundation of our learning together.
