Morning immersion
Slowly unwinding the twine of our conditioning
The Morning Yoga Immersion provides practitioners with an opportunity to delve into yogic philosophy and practice with focused intention and daily commitment.
Morning Immersion is a virtual bi-monthly event which is anchored around a theme explored throughout the week.
Week of Morning Practice
The morning sessions will include asana, pranayama and a short meditation. The format of the postures and breath work will be similar throughout the week, but will energetically attune with the season at hand. The daily repetition of the pattern of the postures and breath work fosters presence by alleviating the cognitive work of the mind. The practice itself becomes a moving meditation, prayer or offering. It acts as a healing balm for the often distracted, restless and anxious outer mind. As the mind settles into a groove of steady concentration and returns to its natural reflective nature, a deeper understanding of oneself and the teachings is unveiled.
These sessions are not intended to break down postures or alignment, although alignment cues will be used.
These immersions provide opportunities for practitioners to carve out time each morning to connect to the sacred to foster more enlightened relationships with our environment and one another in our ever changing world.
“I have participated in several of Meghan's morning immersions, and each time I have been struck by Meghan's skill at bringing classical yoga teachings into the context of this world we are living in here and now. These immersions have significantly deepened my practice of yoga both on and off the mat. If you are looking for a soothing, grounding practice that helps you explore who you really are, an immersion is for you!”

KIND WORDS
“Meghan’s morning immersion classes feel like a mini-retreat. Just knowing I was going to be on my mat during that specific window of time, every day for that week, helped to shape the quality of each day, and my week as a whole. When Friday arrived, I was surprised at how much stronger I felt, physically—more than I would have thought possible, for a relatively short period of increased practice. The immersion classes remind me how powerful just a little bit more yoga practice can be.”

Summer Solstice Sādhana
June 19 – 23, 2023
Week of Morning Practice (Monday - Friday):
6:30 – 7:45 AM PST
Virtual Workshop: $108
The Summer Solstice Sādhana (spiritual disciplines) will be a week dedicated to honoring the rhythms of the natural world. Each morning will be an opportunity to connect to the five elements of nature through embodied practices of posture, breath, and meditation.
The Summer Solstice has long been recognized as an auspicious day as it signifies both an ending and a beginning. It is a time of expansion and as such, a time which supports our effort to release limiting mindsets which keep us bound to polarized thinking. Ritual and disciplined practices are recommended during the period of the solstice to foster clarity, support intentions, and open the heart to revere the vastness of inner interior which is embedded in the rhythms of the natural world.
Pratyahara:
Moving Into Stillness
January 9 - 13, 2023
Week of Morning Practice (Monday - Friday):
6:30 – 7:45 AM PST
Virtual Workshop: $108
Pratyahara is a practice which consciously redirects our senses inwards. Sensory stimulation is so prevalent in our lives that we often feel unsettled and restless when it is removed. According to the classical teachings of yoga, the outer mind (manas) is connected to our senses of perception. If the senses are ever turning outwards provoked by sensory stimuli, the mind will follow suit. If, however, we learn to turn the senses inward, the mind will do so as well. Pratyahara can be considered the threshold we must pass through in order to still the mind and experience the profound peace which resides within the depths of our being.
This annual Morning Immersion takes place during the time of the year when the days are at their shortest length in the northern hemisphere. There is a natural turning inwards that nature is providing us and that we can harmonize with to restore and nourish our oversaturated senses, mind, and nervous system.
KIND WORDS
“I feel blessed to have experienced your yoga immersion course. It has been something I have always wanted to do for myself. I walked away from the experience taking your readings and questions and applying them to my life as a mother. I love the idea of "witnessing" life, instead of always dictating it.
You left me with a lot of hope, knowing that this work, this amazing practice of yoga will heal the earth. I believe that with all my heart, the more love and light that we spread, the better for all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful love and light with all of us this week. Your smile brightened my day.”
